UX-Query
UX-Query is a chat tool that answers your UX questions using Baymard’s research as the source. Instead of searching through the guideline catalog, you can ask a specific question and get a research-backed answer.
Asking a question
Go to the UX-Query tab and type your question in plain language. UX-Query returns an answer grounded in relevant Baymard guidelines, with links to relevant pages so you can dig deeper.
Adding site context to your question
To add site context to a question, you need a UX audit or UX-Ray scan on your account. Go to the UX-Query tab and select a site from the options listed in the Context dropdown.
Answers factor in known issues and findings from the selected audit or scan. This weights the answer toward the research most applicable to your context, but it doesn't restrict UX-Query from drawing on Baymard's broader research catalog when relevant.
Query usage and limits
For Foundation, Expansion, and Custom plans, the plan tier determines the amount of research that UX-Query searches. There is a fair use limit on the number of UX-Query searches, but most accounts will not hit this limit even with regular use.
Legacy plans have a set number of questions available per billing cycle, shared across everyone with a seat on your account. You can check how many questions your account has used at Users & Seats.
